Description:

China, underglaze blue Qianlong seal mark and period
H. 28,9 cm
Superbly enamelled with a continuous undulating leafy composite floral scroll reserved in green against the black ground, including lotus, peony, aster, prunus and lily. This palette of green and black is very rare and appears to only have been used during Kangxi, Yongzheng and Qianlong reigns. These wares were invariably decorated with designs that are very well rendered.
